Course Objectives
- Understand the basics of Doppler physics and principles
- Recognize normal and abnormal flow profiles
- Through hands-on scanning, be able to obtain all views to collect Doppler information pertaining to regurgitant volumes, intracardiac pressures, pressure gradients, and stroke volumes
Who should attend
- Veterinarians and technicians with a thorough knowledge of the heart anatomy who are comfortable acquiring both right and left-sided views, and who are interested in learning to apply color and spectral Doppler imaging to further evaluate the heart. This course is designed for intermediate or advanced scanners who own or use a Doppler system. The lecture component is taught by a board certified Cardiologist and June Boon.
