Course Objectives
- The first three days will give you an understanding of the basics of Doppler physics and principles
- Recognize normal and abnormal flow profiles
- Through hands-on scanning, be able to obtain all views to collect Doppler information pertaining to regurgitant volumes, intracardiac pressures, pressure gradients, and stroke volumes
- Hands-on scanning on days two and three
- Days four and five will be all lecture and take a case based approach to trouble shooting common but complex clinically relevant cardiac problems and focus on the utility of echocardiography as well as build your experience with 2D and Doppler
Who should attend
- Veterinarians who need a refresher, Residents, Internists, Critical Care Specialists, etc… who want to hone their cardiac skills to an advanced level
- Must be comfortable in acquiring both right and left-sided views, and wish to learn color and spectral Doppler
