Course Objectives
Parts 1 and 2 (taught by a Boarded Specialist)
- This course will include a 2 part lecture series regarding the clinical and sonographic presentations of all major organ systems in canine, feline, and ferret medicine
- The approach for Parts 1 and 2 will take the attendee from the moment the patient presents to the clinician, through the clinical workup, and culminating with the sonographic presentation, followed by a brief summary of the clinical outcome
- The objective of the course is to aid the clinical sonographer to recognize and integrate the sonographic pathology into the clinical workup, recognize the pathological tendencies, and stimulate clinical objectivity
- Sampling techniques, recommendations, and procedures will also be addressed. Part 1 is lecture only, Part 2 will be accompanied by a short hands-on scanning session reinforcing techniques.
